John Thielepape has been
Director of Missions for the
Parker-Palo Pinto Baptist Area
since June, 2006. The PPPBA is headquartered
in Weatherford, Texas, and serves two Baptist associations (Parker and Palo
Pinto). John served as the Pastor of the
Meadow Lane Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas
for eleven years from 1995-2006. Prior
to that, he served as a Pastor in Cleburne, TX and as Youth Minister and
later Associate Pastor in Burleson, TX. From 1983-85, John was a
Journeyman Missionary with the Southern Baptist Foreign Mission Board stationed
in Kitwe, Zambia.
John was born in Austin,
TX and moved with his family to Nashville, TN at the age of five, and
graduated from high school in Nashville. He attended Baylor University
in Waco, TX and Belmont University in Nashville where he earned a BBA in
Management. He earned the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry
degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX
with a concentration in Christian Ethics and Pastoral Care.
John has previously taught Leadership and New
Testament at the Theological College of Central Africa.
John is trained in
MasterLife, Prepare/Enrich, and has completed the training required to serve
as a court-appointed mediator in the State of Texas.
John lives in Weatherford with his wife Charlotte
(Lottie) who teaches midde school in the Weatherford public school system. They have two children, a daughter Kelcie (12) and son Sean (3).
